Elder Calvin D. Saulsberry and Evangelist Catherine Black Saulsberry received a vision from the Lord to birth a home church ministry during the year of 1997.  Because the environment was welcoming and very much connected to prayer and hearing the gospel, Calvary Hill experienced growth.  This propelled them to move to a new location.  That location was the YMCA on Quince Road where they remained  for approximately two years. During the year of 2002, with intentionality and reliance on God, the Saulsberrys received a mandate from the Lord to move the ministry forward once again. This is when the congregation entered the church building at its current location on Airways Boulevard. The Saulsberrys are native Memphians who have also lived in Southern California while Pastor Saulsberry served in the United States Military.  Pastor Saulsberry and Evangelist Saulsberry have been married for  forty-years and are devoted parents and grandparents.
